GODADDY VS SITE GROUND “Experienced Advice” 2017

I have been blogging for about more than 5 years now and like everyone i also didn’t know anything about the website, the domain and hosting etc but with the passage of time and continuous urge of learning and earning through internet made me able to achieve my goal. I started a free WordPress site and used wordads on it. I purchased my domain from WordPress then one of my friend advised me to get my custom hosting as i was already getting the traffic already. I searched for a cheap web hosting and found godaddy at top of it. Like many started i was also looking for a cheap solution. I decided to go for it as they had shown an award wining support and many other things on their site. I purchased the Deluxe hosting plan for my site and started using my site. Things were going good initially but with little errors like error 404 while installing a plugin or activating it. When my site started getting more traffic the problems increased, I was not able to use jetpack anymore because it continuously gave me errors while installing and activating it. I was not able to use any security plugin due the very same reason, which enabled some hackers to site my site as well. Thanks to the very secure servers of godaddy. I had to ask support to resolve my issues but all in vain, they never accept their mistake they will never say its our fault or its due to us. I had experienced a hell lot of downtime with my site on godaddy. Every time i had to ask support to resolve it after waiting for like 20 mints in queue. The downtime was like i knew that daily my site is going down for some time. and i was getting emails that your site is down your site is down etc. I had to again call them and tell them to resolve the issue. They sometimes just bought time as they knew it was their fault but never told me. A new user who knows nothing about this stuff feels like he has done something but believe me you leave your site just fine and in working condition but when u wake up you see your site was down for like 1 hour. I had wasted a lot of money on international calls. Sometimes i was so angry i wanted to punch them in the face. They take all the money at the start and for three to five months they give you good experience then after that they move you to some slow servers or where there are too many websites on the same server. My site started getting slow while loading. The page load time increased to like 25 to 30 seconds. All my traffic was lost. I was again calling them again and again but they were unable to resolve the issue. There was a time when i used to call them daily. chat with them daily but they never told me the issue. I had to ask someone else on internet and one of my friend told me that you should really shift your hosting. I searched for a new hosting and found site ground as one of the best after reading some comments and reviews. I decided to chat with them, The first experience was good the chat went fine and the people sound helping. Their support is good.
I took all the necessary information and then i had to decide whether to switch or not. I was confused what to do as i was having four to five months left of the previous hosting. Then came a time when my site stopped loading and the page load time went to 30 plus seconds. I decided to talk site ground again, to my surprise they asked me to shift my hosting to site ground and experience it for one month FREE OF CHARGE. This made me do it. I transferred my site to siteground and was amazed with the lightening speed of all the installations etc. I was beginning to feel guilty of using godaddy at the first place. I wanted to ask somethings. Site ground has a ticketing system which i liked and the responses were also good and helping. The girl at chat did all the work for me i just had to ask her to do it as it was a new platform for me. Once my site was good to go again i was relieved and the page load time came to under 3-4 seconds again. I experienced it for one month and then i decided to shift to siteground permanently. I purchased the GO GEEK Plan of Siteground. From that day i did not feel the need to contact the support of site ground for anything. My site never went down a single day. I am very happy with my current host that i have placed their promotion banners on my site. I have written this post so that anyone who is planing to have a new hosting or experiencing issues with its current hosting should be able to get some help from it.
